I am currently a PhD student in Educational Studies at the University of British Columbia (UBC), Vancouver, Canada. My Master’s degree was in International and Comparative Education, Policy and Planning at the Graduate School of Education, American University in Cairo (AUC), Egypt. My Bachelor’s was in Computer Science at the American University in Cairo (AUC), Egypt where I minored in Music & Psychology. I enjoy teaching and am very passionate about using technology so I was very happy to work as a K-12 IT teacher and instructor for educators in Egypt. I am currently working on my PhD, where I am interested in teacher professinlization policies in Egypt and the politics of teacher professionalism.
